I am currently looking for a Territory Sales Manager for a client of mine who is a vertically integrated global manufacturer of photovoltaic (PV) panels with manufacturing facilities in Europe and North America. They are seeking to add to their existing sales team as they expand their commercial presence in new and growing U.S. markets.
Position: PV Territory Sales Manager - (Solar Market)
Location/Territory: New England Territory (preferably residing in Boston)
Reports to: Regional Sales Manager
Compensation: 50K - 70K Base (Depends on Experience), 75% Bonus Potential

Responsibilities:
- Self-generation of leads in assigned territory
- Effective utilization of CRM tools
- Qualify potential customers in a timely manner considering credit risk and potential value realization
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets
- Provide timely feedback of competitive landscape
- Research and understand local incentive structure which facilitates PV volumes in assigned territory
- Take ownership of marketing activities in assigned territory including organization and attendance at local seminars, conferences and similar events to establish brand and develop business
- Provide three month rolling market forecasts to ensure availability of product for assigned territory
- Aggressive terms negotiations and follow up with customer on receivables coming due and past due
- Weekly travel to meet with customers and attend conferences, seminars and events
- Day travel expected between 70% and 80%; overnight travel to approximate 10% to 25% depending on local market
Qualifications:
- Maximum 2 to 3 years of experience in a customer facing sales role
- Ability to drive aggressive sales activity and deliver target results in market, (selling to installers, contractors, engineering companies – B2B)
- Ability to clearly and concisely communicate with customers and company management
- Ability to customize communication and presentation structure to varying forms of potential customers including contractors, procurement managers and business owners
- Energetic, punctual, positive and professional with an emphasis of collaboration and desire to work as a member of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to adhere to deadlines and work with minimal supervision
- Ability to assist customers with their marketing and sales efforts
- A 4 year degree in business or a related technical field is preferred
