National manufacturer of Hydraulic and Mechanical Couplers, and Construction Buckets is seeking a proven Sales Manager to expand the Northeastern territory. 

The Eastern District Sales Manager will enjoy the flexibility of working from a home office while leading sales efforts to an established customer base of approximately 280 construction dealers within the following states: Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire, Maryland, Virginia, Delaware. In addition, the District Sales Manager will manage OEM account relationships within the Eastern territory.

Residence within the territory is required with reasonable access to a major airport. The Eastern District Sales Manager will also represent the company at Regional and National trade shows.

Requirements:
  • 4-year degree in related field, or equivalent work-related experience
  • 3-5 years' successful record in construction component sales
  • Technical knowledge of the construction industry & equipment
  • Able to develop new and creative ideas and bring value to brainstorming settings
  • Demonstrates professionalism in dealing with others, comfortable with a variety of concepts, complexity and able to see the big picture
  • Able to manage expenses and expense control
  • Solve problems analytically; search out relevant information and gauge its importance when making decisions
  • Effective written and oral communication skills; able to express oneself clearly and in technical and non-technical terms
  • Set a good example of personal integrity; demonstrate ability and willingness to learn; seek out development activities to improve skills and increase knowledge; learn from other team members and own mistakes
  • Take initiative, seek and act on opportunities to improve organization performance
  • Ability to translate specific goals into action and follow through to achieve goals
  • Willingness and desire to travel
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and CRM software
