Vice President of Sales – Food Service
Leading food manufacturer and distributor.
Central Pennsylvania. Candidate must live in or relocate to the area.
The Vice President of Sales is responsible for the overall leadership, development and execution of the strategic direction of the Sales and Marketing plan for the food service division. The Vice President will develop business plans, manage his team as well as grow and maintain relationships with primary customers. The Vice President will lead tactical business efforts resulting in increased sales, improved customer relations, driving market penetration and insuring operating effectiveness. Essentials for the candidate is the desire and drive to take the organization to its next level of success facilitating the company’s continued strong growth and reputation as the market leader.
Keys To Success Will Be:
§ Manage Sales and Marketing
§ Increase sales while ensuring the long-term growth and stability the company.
§ Lead strategic planning to meet profit and growth initiatives.
§ Manage alliances between the company and customers.
§ Support initiatives to acquire new accounts and identify timely industry opportunities.
§ Support initiatives that target customer retention.
§ Maintain an expert level knowledge of industry and develop timely responses to changes in the marketplace to ensure profitability.
§ Oversee the sales organization efforts to build and maintain relationships with all customers.
§ Support the development of the Management Team to achieve strategic initiatives.
§ Develop and execute succession plans for employees to meet long and short-term business initiatives.
§ Provide direction to the Product Development Team regarding competitive products and long-term product opportunities for company.
§ Thirty percent travel is anticipated.
Bachelor’s degree in Business preferred.
10 plus years sales leadership experience in the food service industry.
Extensive and current customer contacts in the food service industry.
Effective strategic thinking and tactical execution
Directing and managing senior level staff.
Directing and managing sales territories, quotas and target accounts to insure the business plan is executed.
Profit and loss management helpful.
Outstanding organizational skills.
Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
Ability to multi-task and be a cross-function team builder.
Computer skills to include Microsoft Office products.
Competitive Salary - Base $200,000 plus
Bonus Programs – 50% plus
